We hope you have all had an enjoyable summer and looking forward to your child returning to school on Monday 8th September.

Please see below some information for your attention as they prepare for their first day.

Year 7 – 8.25am

Years 8, 9. 10 &  11 – 10.30am

Years 7 & 8 along with any students that joined us midway through last year will have their photo take on their first day (other year groups will have their photo taken later in the year).

Students will be provided with a photo proof from Tempest of which you can place an order with them directly. All orders will be delivered to school and will be given to your child to bring home.

Students are required to wear their full uniform and bring the required equipment as detailed on the Uniform page on the school website.

Please note, coloured hair, hair braids, false nails and piercings are NOT permitted.

(If your child has had their ears pierced and are still healing, they must wear a clear stud or they will be required to remove the piercing. Once healed, piercings must be removed)

Students are NOT required to bring their PE kit on the first day and are only to do so on days thereafter where they have PE on their timetable.

NUTS PROHIBITED – Please remember that Ingleby Manor School operates as a NUT free environment due to some students having severe allergies. Please ensure that your child is NOT bringing to school nuts, snacks containing nuts or peanut butter sandwiches.

Please ensure that your child has a water bottle with them which they can refill at water fountains around school throughout the day.

Food is served at breaktime and lunchtime. Students who wish to purchase food items can do so by using our biometric scanner which will link and debit their MCAS account. Alternatively, your child can bring with them a packed lunch. The lunch menus are available on the school website.

Please note, Free School meals only cover a lunch meal. Any items purchased at break will be payable.

All new starters will be sent an activation email to set up their child s ‘My Child at School’ app before your child starts.

This app allows you to do the following:

 – Pay for lunches, trips and other items

 – See your child’s timetable, reports, behaviours and detentions as well as awards.

If you are having trouble setting up the app or adding funds to make lunch payments, please contact the school via email on -parents@inglebymanorschool.org.uk and our Data Officer will assist.

Please don’t worry if you have not managed to add funds to your child’s account for them starting school, they will be permitted to take a meal until any issue is resolved and then once funds are available, any meals taken will be deducted from their balance. From this point, your child’s account must always be kept in credit.

Thank you to all the parents that have already notified us of their child’s medical conditions or allergies. These details have been added to your child’s record.

If your child requires medication to be administered in school, please ensure that you abide by the following requirements:

 – Students are NOT permitted to keep medication on their person unless it is an inhaler or EPI pen. All medication must be handed into students services.

– To enable the school to administer medication to your child, we require an ‘administering medication’ consent form to be completed. These are located in the school reception.

– All medication provided to the school must be in the original packaging with the instruction leaflet inside. Any prescribed medication must have your child’s name clearly labelled.

– Please note that it is a parents responsibility to ensure that the school hold sufficient medication for your child and that what is held remains in date.

– For students that have an EPI Pen, we recommend them having one on their person as well as one to be handed into Student Services.

If you wish to contact the school, please email parents@inglebymanorschool.org.uk and your email will be acknowledged and responded to as required. Please note, non urgent safeguarding emails will receive a response within 48 hours during term time.
